Intermidiate Phase Aftercare

Aftercare is a caring and structured after-school environment. The girls are given a healthy lunch and guided through the day’s homework requirements, while being productive and challenged by other activities like games, colouring and reading. The girls are afforded time to play outside, under supervision, during their lunch break and when homework is complete.
Mrs Barenbrug is our aftercare teacher, whose history at St Teresa’s has been life-long. For this reason she understands and watches carefully over the girls each day. The safe and constructive time spent in aftercare is both advantageous and necessary, if you are a parent working late, as children in this phase are not to be left unattended, as per school policy. Girls who choose to do cultural activities or sports, are expected to come to aftercare at the end of their activities, if Homework Supervision has ended ie: 15-30. Aftercare starts at 14:00 and closes at 17:30 every day of the week. Please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. for more information. Aftercare can be offered on an ad-hoc basis or monthly, depending on your needs. A holiday care programme is run at the Craighall Park campus for children from Grade 00 – Grade 6.
